How should I report an outdated FAQ answer?
Send the question’s permanent link and explain which statement appears outdated through the contact route. Include an authoritative source where available, without sharing unnecessary personal information.
Identify the statement precisely
Open the individual question and copy its permanent link where available. Quote the short passage you believe is outdated and explain what appears to have changed. This is more useful to an editor than reporting that a whole category is wrong without identifying the issue.
Where possible, include a link to an authoritative source, such as the responsible public authority or service provider. State when you checked it. Distinguish between a general statement that needs correction and circumstances that apply only to your own property or account.
Send a focused editorial report
Use the site’s existing contact route and make clear that you are reporting FAQ content. Do not attach private correspondence or identity documents merely to support a factual correction. A public source and a concise explanation are usually easier to review safely.
Submitting a report does not mean the answer has already been amended or that your proposed wording has been accepted. For an immediate decision involving legal, financial or healthcare matters, verify current requirements directly with the appropriate professional or official source rather than waiting for an editorial update.
Practical considerations
- Include the individual question link.
- Quote the disputed statement briefly.
- Prefer authoritative public sources over private records.
