How can I narrow the beach directory to a region and city?

Open the beach directory, use the location controls that are actually displayed, and broaden one filter at a time if the results become empty.

Begin at the beaches page. If a region selector is shown, choose the intended region; if the current view also offers a city selector, use it to narrow the results. Search by name where that control is available. Check the displayed selections and read the individual entry’s location description rather than assuming a city grouping means an urban beach.

If nothing matches, clear the name query first, then broaden any city and region selections. Use a reset control only if one is present; otherwise clear the selections individually. Try another spelling after checking that you mean the same destination.

Open shortlisted records to compare shore type, facilities and the visitor entrance. Filter membership cannot establish a practical route from your accommodation, current water conditions or seasonal business operation. Keep those as separate checks.

Practical considerations

  • Do not promise an interface control absent from the current view.
  • Keep the chosen origin separate from the destination’s region label.
  • Confirm access without copying guessed travel times.
